Evidence 1: The Simpson’s PowerPoint

Rationale 1: This slideshow was used to introduce vocabulary of the home in Spanish 3. Students saw the vocabulary words, heard the words and saw pictures to enhance the Spanish language.
I showed this slideshow to students to introduce some of the new vocabulary for furniture and parts of the house. The students connected with the content of the slideshow and remained engaged during the brief lesson. Some students prefer to see words and other students prefer to hear words. This included both means of communication. Using the Simpson’s was beneficial to me because it was more engaging to present something fun rather than serious.
